AN EXAMPLE WALK
We might meet in central Hillerød and begin by walking through the town towards Slotssøen, where the view across the water introduces Frederiksborg Castle and its remarkable setting.
From here, we can continue along the lake and towards the castle area, taking time to look at the architecture, landscape and details that tell something about Hillerød’s history.
Along the way, we can talk about Frederiksborg Castle, the Danish monarchy and the development of the town, but also about everyday life in Hillerød today.
We might return through the town centre or finish near the castle, depending on what you would like to do afterwards.
